Tasks
Managing inbound and outbound calls regarding inquiries, appointments, and data verification.
Maintaining great phone etiquette.
Obtaining medical history using EMRs such as Cerner, Epic, AthenaNet, and NextGen.
Verifying healthcare insurance coverage and eligibility.
Providing administrative support (data entry, scheduling, email management, record keeping, time-keeping).
Handling health promotion, care plan explanations, new patient intake, and front-desk triage.
Acting as a primary liaison between patients and providers.
Strictly adhering to HIPAA compliance policies.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
1-2 years of experience in a medical-related background.
Familiarity with medical terminologies.
A healthcare-related degree is highly preferred.
Intermediate skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
HIPAA Certification is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Computer savvy.
